David M. Shannon
EVP, General Counsel and Secretary
David M. Shannon serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of NVIDIA.
He joined NVIDIA in 2002 as Vice President and General Counsel. He became Secretary of NVIDIA in 2005, a Senior Vice President in 2005 and an Executive Vice President in 2009.
In January 2013, he also became the head of Human Resources and currently leads both the Legal and Human Resources functions.
From 1993 to 2002, he held various counsel positions at Intel, most recently the position of Vice President and Assistant General Counsel. He also practiced for eight years in the law firm of Gibson Dunn and Crutcher, focusing on complex commercial and high-technology related litigation.
Shannon holds B.A. and J.D. degrees from Pepperdine University.
